School of Nursing

The University of Louisville School of Nursing is where the science of nursing transforms the art of caring. We have strong aspirations to become a local, regional and national leader in nursing education, research, service and practice that bolsters Kentucky’s healthcare workforce through our baccalaureate, master’s and doctoral degree nursing programs and adds to the science and practice of nursing. Faculty strives every day to compete effectively with benchmark nursing schools such as those at the University of Kentucky, University of Cincinnati and University of Pittsburgh. Although the School of Nursing currently has one of the highest NCLEX-RN pass rates in the Commonwealth, at 95 percent, and is ranked 54th by U.S. News and World Report for graduate programs in 2007, the school has not been nationally ranked for receiving NIH funding since 2001.
